Although Windows incorporated software to view and edit most common file extensions, we will still need additional software like Codec pack for AVI files, Pdf readers and Office for spreadsheet document. Everytime after reformatting a computer, I got to install different software for specific purpose. Putting aside all benefits offered, this program is a little pesky for the slow installation plus unnecessary downloads without option. As the name suggests freeopener aims to only open files, but not editing (word document). Plus, a portable version should do best with this software which is not supported officially.
