How To Run VirtualBox Guest In Full Screen!

"VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Not only is VirtualBox an extremely feature rich, high performance product for enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2."

To test anything new or unknown(that could cause damage to the real system), VirtualBox is perhaps the best virtualization software to run a guest operating system inside another host. However, the default installation of Virtualbox does not support guest full screen resizing. Thus to enable this feature, one has to install an additional plugin, the Guest Additions as shown in guide below.

On VirtualBox toolbar, select "Devices" and "Install Guest Additions...". Once clicked, an autorun installer should pops up on the guest operating system.

Note that Direct 3D support must be checked if Windows Aero feature is needed.

Run the installer and go through each steps accordingly. Once you're done, reboot guest operating system and VirtualBox will now resize automatically to fit your screen.
