What's new in Avast! Free Antivirus 7?

If you do not wish to pay for antivirus software, there are actually quite a few good free choices available to secure your computer which includes Panda Cloud Antivirus, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essential, Immunet Protect as well as the well-known Avast.

Being actively used by 150 million users, Avast continues to provide better software and reveals its new version 7. What's new in it? Besides multiple layers of protection shields, auto-sandboxing, webrep and site blocking, Avast further adds in hybrid cloud technologies to enhance new streaming updates and reputation services.

"Now you get each virus signature sent to you in real-time via connection to the AVAST Virus Lab cloud, rather than needing to wait for a traditional database update. Your database will be continuously updated with latest definitions.
FileRep lets you know whether a file is safe before you open it – determined in part by how many people have the file and how new the file is. The technology is also used internally, to help the scanning engine make more intelligent decisions." -avast!

Another superb implementation is the remote assistance for solving problems. To control a remote computer, a random key is needed for authorization from the allowing computer on the other hand.

Maintenance tab now includes additional frequently asked question and technical support information.

With so much features piled up in a free software which is also compatible with other security software and Windows 8 Beta, Avast 7 is definitely the hard one to beaten by other free security vendors.
