Burn Note: Automatically Deletes Read Messages!

Once, I wanted to send a friend a private and confidential email. Before sending him, my concerns is whether he would delete that email after reading it. Although I can tell him to, but the control is still depending on him. A self-destructing email is best for this job, however it simply doesn't come with typical email services.

Burn Note allows anyone to send a self-destruct message. Simply fill in a message, add a password (optional), copy the generated link and send it to the recipient. With a viewing timer, a message will be automatically deleted when the limit is reached.

To prevent duplication of message contents, Burn Note can be sent as short phrases or spyglass which does not allow copying. Adding, an sccount signing up enables user to receive email notification when a note is received, read or updated.

This service is considerably reliable, as "Burn Note’s Web site says the service uses no binary logging, which means there are no standby servers, or backup copies of emails. The company uses a storage engine that has no journaling capabilities, and an underlying file system that logs metadata but not the content of the notes themselves." However, the vulnerability lies where a reader is still able to print-screen the message before it is destroyed.
