How To Automatically Update / Scan With Malwarebytes Free!

If you have not known, Malwarebytes is probably the best malware or virus cleaning program dealing with an infected computer. Though, the free version comes in short of automatic update as well as automatic scanning. Thanks to Windows task scheduler, we can now easily tackle Malwarebytes' shortcoming.

Firstly, bring up Windows Task Scheduler, and select "Create Basic Task...". Insert appropriate task name and description.

Define when you want the job to take place.

Select "Start a program", and locate "mbam.exe" from your installation path. Add argument with either "/update", "/quickscanterminate" or "/fullscanterminate" for preferred purpose.

Check your summary, select "Finish" if correcly configured.

Upon a successful configuration, Malwarebytes will nowstarts to update or scan itself at your predefined interval, without any user interaction needed! However, note that this tutorial is based on Windows 7, where the Scheduled Task for Windows XP could be a little different.
