Malwarebytes: Chameleon The Beast!

If your computer have ever been infected by malwares or viruses, I bet Malwarebytes is the common recommendation by many. Certainly, the free version of Malwarebytes with high detection rate along its Shuriken heuristics engine makes it to be perhaps the best in cleaning an infected system. [How To Automatically Update/Scan With Malwarebytes Free]

To further strengthen its effectiveness, Malwarebytes 1.60 debuts an additional technology, the Chameleon. Chameleon technology basically works to stop malwares from disabling Malwarebytes. This addition is surely useful when security programs in a computer is stopped advertently.

To test Chameleon, MBAM has placed some sample programs in Chameleon folder which you can test if a black DOS window appears. If  there is, then confirmed Chameleon is working. Anyhow I would like to use real world malwares to test it. Purposely infected my system with over 50 malicious programs, all of my security programs including avast!, emsisoft as well as explorer.exe and Windows task manager were totally locked down. Having no other options, I could only hope Malwarebytes 1.60 was not disabled too.

Thanks to Chameleon, Malwarebytes opened successfully and a quick scan revealed so much malwares which eliminated without any hassle. Then a simple reboot quickly brought all my disabled items back! Having said that Malwarebytes is truly a must for every system as a companion for any existing security software.
