SRWare Updater: Automatically Updates Iron Browser!

From personal computer to university to workplace, I can see the default browser of most still goes to Google Chrome. Indeed this browser is perfect from speed of rendering to the simplicity, but many are unaware of the tracking features built-in. While these tracking actually will not do much harm to users, many privacy-conscious people like myself will prefer SRWare Iron, which uses the open-source Chromium source code.

In the midst of highlighting no tracking features to be built into  SRWare Iron, one of the most important feature is unfortunately missing, the automatic updater. To me, it is a little inconvenient to go manual checking for updates once in a blue moon.

SRWare Updater is a portable application to automatically check for new updates in customizable time interval. By default, it checks in every 6 hours. As simple as you may think, besides automatic startup with Windows, there are no much option to be customized.

In overall, SRWare Updater does the job quite effectively on getting a new version for me. However, since Iron will only be updated weeks later after a new released of Google Chrome, it is unpractical to check for updates too often.
